Dr Lee Fergusson, Dip.FineArt, Dip.Ed., M.A., Ph.D., specialises in higher education, work-based learning, sustainability science and Vedic Science. He has previously taught at Bendigo College of Advanced Education (now La Trobe University), Queensland College of Art (now Griffith University), and Maharishi International University (USA). Dr Fergusson was also founding Director of Maharishi Vedic College, Melbourne, founding Rector of Maharishi Vedic University (MVU), Cambodia, and formerly Chief Executive Officer of three companies: Virotec International plc (UK), a publicly listed company on the London Stock Exchange; Global Online India Inc. (USA), a publicly listed NASDAQ company; and USA Global Link, Inc. (USA), a $2.0 billion telecommunications company. By recommendation of the President of Cambodia, His Excellency Samdach Heng Samrin, Dr Fergusson was awarded the Royal Order of Sahametrei by royal decree of the King of Cambodia, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, in his 2016 honours list. The Royal Order of Sahametrei is the highest civilian honour conferred by the King, and was decreed for distinguished services to the King and people of Cambodia in establishing MVU with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Royal Government of Cambodia. He is the author and/or editor of 12 books, including: "Redefining Sustainability" (2019); "What a Waste: Studies in Anthropogenic Sources of Pollution" (2016); and "Red Mud Futures: Repurposing One of the World's Largest Industrial Waste By-products" (2015). His research on higher education, psychology, Vedic Science, art education, health, systems science, sustainability and the environment have been published in many international journals, including: Asian Journal of Chemistry; History of Education; Journal of Environmental and Analytical Toxicology; Journal of Environmental Quality; Reflective Practice; Journal of Work-Applied Management; Perceptual and Motor Skills; Social Science Perspectives Journal; Studies in Asian Social Science; Journal of Indian Education; Higher Education, Skills and Work-Based Learning; Interdisciplinary Journal of e-Skills and Lifelong Learing; Higher Education Research and Development; ASEAN Journal of Education; and College Student Journal.
