Dr. Xujuan Zhou is Associate Professor in School of Business. She received her PhD from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. She had worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at QUT, UNSW and Marquise University before she joined USQ in June 2016 as a lecturer. A/Prof. Zhou has led the new development and delivery of key Information System (IS) courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for on campus and online students since 2016. She also designed and developed a new course for a Master level degree program. She consistently receives positive feedback and high ratings for her courses in MyOpinion, which is evidenced by the teaching awards from her school and Dean’s commendation for teaching excellence 2019. She has also received My Star award recognized by her teaching team member in 2019. A/Prof. Zhou has an excellent international research profile and competitive track record in her research fields. She completed the Commonwealth Innovation Connections Grant ($100K) Jan. 2017 - April 2019. She received a USQ Eminent Scholar Grant ($5,000) in 2020. This grant was awarded to support the collaborative research work with a world-leading researcher, Professor U. Rajendra Acharya from Singapore (ranked 72 in the world and 2 in Singapore in Computer Science). In June 2021, she has also been awarded a USQ Research Capacity Building Grant ($15,000). In October 2021, she was awarded Advance Queensland Industry Research Fellowships ($360K from Queensland Government and $120K from industry partners over three years). Her contribution to USQ’s research culture was recognised with the award of the 2021 BELA Excellence Award for Research. She has supervised four students successfully completed their PhD study at USQ. She received the 2020 BELA Excellence Award for Postgraduate Research Supervision. A/Prof. Zhou has achieved many established research outcomes that have been published and highly cited in prestigious Journals. She receives a high degree of engagement with her research and is well cited by her peers as evidenced in her Google Scholar citations.
