As a Materials Engineer, Dr Chevali possesses substantial experience in research, scale-up, and commercialisation of fibre-reinforced plastics with a focus on biomass utilisation. Dr Chevali champions university/industry linkages and has managed research projects involving close liaison with industrial stakeholders. Key industry linkages of Dr Chevali include Caterpillar, Inc., John Deere, and Petronas. Dr Chevali has worked as a Co-Principal Investigator/Chief Investigator of several research projects, and secured US Federal and State grants, and managed projects from conceptualisation to completion stages. At RMIT University School of Engineering, he co-managed research projects in composite materials design, development, and characterisation. At USQ Centre for Future Materials, he is a co-chief investigator of the Strategic Research Funding, working closely with Industries on multiple research projects funded by the Australian Federal Government agencies. International collaborations of Dr Chevali include the Clemson University (USA), Composite Innovation Centre, Canada, Inc., Virginia Tech, Newcastle University (UK), and North Dakota State University (USA).
