Thanh Nguyen is currently an associate lecturer at University of Southern Queensland (USQ). He received his Ph.D. degree from Griffith University and worked for Griffith University before joining USQ in July 2021. His research is focused on MEMS sensors and actuators, physics of semiconductors, soft electronics, silicon carbide MEMS/NEMS for applications in harsh environments, self-powered sensors, and energy harvesting devices. He has published over 30 high-impact journal articles, including Science Advances, Nature Communications and many other Nature indexed papers. He was first and corresponding author of articles published in top tier scientific journals in his field such as Nature Communications (IF=11.878), Nano Energy (IF=15.548), Material Horizons (IF=14.356) and so on. His works have been featured on the cover of high-impact journals as well.


Research interests
Micro/Nano- electromechanical systems MEMS/NÉM sensors and actuators, physics of semiconductors, soft electronics, silicon carbide MEMS/NEMS for applications in harsh environments, self-powered sensors, and energy harvesting devices.
