Terri is a Lecturer in Nursing in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. She holds a Master in Nursing and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in addition to her Registered General Nurse qualification. Terri¿s clinical experience spans more than three decades, beginning as a hospital trained general nurse and midwife. Terri has worked mostly in general surgical areas, especially in acute and orthopaedic nursing. Terri¿s involvement with nurse education began with facilitation of Enrolled and Registered Nurse students in the clinical environment. In the academic arena she currently teaches a broad range of nursing subjects in the pre-registration nursing program across all year levels, including areas of clinical practice and education, and quality and safety in health care. Terri¿s research career is just commencing, with interests in clinical education and evidence-based practice. Terri is an active member of the Clinical Governance Committee, the Outreach and Engagement Committee and the assessment sub-committee within the School of Nursing and Midwifery at USQ and is part of the Silver Q team. Terri enjoys sharing her enthusiasm and passion for nursing and is honoured to play a part in educating our future Registered Nurses.
