Tania Leach is currently a Curriculum and Pedagogy Lecturer and member of the Leadership Research International at the University of Southern Queensland. Prior to this she was employed by the Queensland Department of Education for over sixteen years, most recently as a Regional Project Officer: STEM in the Darling Downs South West Region. Tania¿s passion to maximise student learning through the building of school leadership and teacher capability has seen her support whole of region improvement strategies and individual schools to contextualise and translate system policy into practice. While Tania¿s role has a strong focus on Educational Research, her ability to co-lead and co-teach has evidenced positive impacts on teacher quality and subsequent student achievement. She has a Master¿s degree in Curriculum and Pedagogy and is a current Doctoral Candidate with a focus on how enacted regional leadership roles promote system coherence. She has taught students from Prep to year 12 and worked within the roles of Head of Department and Head of School. Her current regional and inter-regional projects include: working with Dr Lyn Sharratt on how to build shared understandings around ¿Putting Faces on the Data¿ at a whole of system level; Purposeful pedagogy: improving numeracy outcomes and Collaboration at a System Level - findings, possibilities and future implications.
