Kate is a Research Fellow at the University of Southern Queensland¿s Centre for Applied Climate Sciences. She has over 20 years of professional and community experience as an ecologist and environmental scientist, spanning a range of fields including agro-ecology, climate risk management and sustainable land and water management systems. Currently working on both the Northern Australia Climate Program and De-Risk Southeast Asia projects, she conducts cross-disciplinary research which integrates climate modelling, agricultural production systems, ecology, spatial modelling and environmental policy to support improved decision making and sustainable natural resource management. She is a current member of the World Meteorological (WMO) Expert Team (ET4.2) on Communication and User Interface for Agriculture, within the Commission for Agricultural Meteorology (CAgM).
