Jilmy Joy is a Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Jilmy graduated from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, with a masters degree in Midwifery. Jilmy is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Southern Queensland. Jilmy's research interests include Obstetric Nursing, Neonatal Nursing and International Student's experience in Australia. Jilmy began her nursing career in 2004 and worked in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in India before migrating to Australia in 2009. Jilmy has been involved in undergraduate nursing education in Australia since 2016. Jilmy utilises her comprehensive knowledge and skills in acute Medical and Surgical Nursing and Midwifery by facilitating undergraduate nursing and midwifery students, training nurses and midwives in hospitals, providing antenatal education and working in an acute clinical setting. Jilmy shares her passion for assisting undergraduate students transition to professional practitioners by supporting students during their clinical placements. Jilmy has a particular interest in providing assistance and support to International Nursing Students at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.
