PhD & MEngSc (Civil, Mining Geotechnical Eng.) University of Sydney; BSc (Civil Eng.) University of Shiraz. GHD Consultants (1988-1992); CSIRO (1992-2014); UQ (1995-2012), USQ (2014-Present) with more than thirty years of practical experience in most areas of civil and mining engineering construction, design, consulting, research and education including Geomechanics (soil, rock & concrete mechanics); Rock cutting, drilling, blasting, fragmentation & comminution; Mechanics of materials (geometallurgy, cutting materials (TSDC, WC), solid, fluid, slurry, composite, backfills (concrete, grout & shotcrete)); Fracture & damage mechanics; Foundation and structural engineering; Civil engineering design & construction; Mathematical modeling of engineering problems & Computational and numerical methods (FEM, BEM, FDM, DEM); Experimental design.
