Caitlin Brassington, BNurs GCertPaedChldYthHlthNurs, is an Academic Clinical Facilitator in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. With 19 years of Paediatric and Child Health Nursing experience, Caitlin has extensive Clinical and Tertiary education experience having previously taught at James Cook University and more recently at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Caitlin has experience in public and private settings, across metropolitan, regional and remote Queensland and in London, UK. Caitlin utilises her comprehensive knowledge of both the educational needs of nursing students, and the health care industry expectations of knowledge and ability, to effectively develop and deliver evidence based clinical education. With experience in clinical leadership and project management, Caitlin has a passion for collaborating effectively with a variety of stakeholders to achieve common goals and expectations in undergraduate student nursing outcomes.
