I have more than 20 years of experience in water resources, agriculture, soil and climate change innovations. I have led and completed cross-disciplinary & cross-organisational research in different universities and research organisations. More recently, in collaboration with external partners, I led the development of a community-driven water/water quality modelling platform i.e., HowLeaky and in 2021, designed Water Science Major for the school of science. Currently, I am leading research projects on different aspects of land, water, and agricultural systems such as modelling soil water at high resolution, effect of cover management on soil water & Carbon and the consequent impact on system productivity, water quality in the Great Barrier Reef catchments, the effect of regenerative grazing on soil carbon. My objectives are to support sustainable and efficient use of resources by undertaking multidisciplinary research in the areas of water/soil/modelling.
